cari ann shim sham* began her journey in 2021 with artificial intelligence by interrogating its inherent bias through rigorous prompting to reveal the lack of diverse data. She then trained her own neural network to curate for diversity and inclusion, for the Museum of Wild and Newfangled Art’s exhibition This Show is Curated by a Machine πŸ€–. Early in her career, she recognized the potential of AI to act not just as a tool but as a refuge in the creative process, focusing on how technology can create efficiency while allowing us more time for rest. She now works with AI as oracle and is developing an AI choreographer biased for inclusive and accessible movement along side generative ai video and image based explorations. She has spoken on panels and given workshops around topics of AI and continues to be in conversation about the ethics of artificial intelligence. She is a move slow fix things developer and has concerns around the speed and haste of current LLM development world wide.
